About ISTAR


The Institute for Stuttering Treatment and Research (ISTAR) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to:
bullet

providing the best possible therapy for children, teens and adults who stutter

bullet

conducting research into the nature and treatment of stuttering

bullet

providing advanced professional training for speech-language pathologists

bullet

promoting public awareness of the nature of stuttering, its treatment and the importance of early intervention

ISTAR is also dedicated to improving the lives of all the children through programs such as TAB. Executive Director Deborah Kully, Clinical Director Marilyn Langevin, and their colleagues at ISTAR join educators, speech-language pathologists, parents and allied professionals who are working to help children improve their lives and their relationships.

ISTAR is an institute of the Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine, University of Alberta.
